  • Chau Cafe’s interior is a reflection of its philosophy: wellness rooted in intention, and nourishment that goes beyond the plate. Drawing from the eatery’s Vietnamese heritage and its focus on holistic well-being, the design brings together soft forms, natural texture, and tonal restraint to create a dining experience that feels grounded, calming, and connected.

The space is composed through quiet detail. Terracotta brick grounds the room with warmth, while textural tilework and gentle curves introduce a sense of flow. Custom millwork adds both rhythm and functionality, thoughtfully integrated to support the pace and purpose of the space. Every element—from the ambient lighting to the material palette—was chosen to create a sense of ease.

In this next chapter for the iconic Vancouver restaurant, the design aims to slow things down. It invites guests to experience dining as a sensory ritual—intentional, soothing, and rooted in both culture and care.
